Artist of the week

I am aware that the Friday section is not motivating to you but I can not help it. Music is necessary to life, it’s essential.

I am also aware that the artist that I am presenting today can win many dislikes but she seems me amazing. Amazing because maybe you like her work or not, but surely that does not leave you indifferent.

Her name is Diamanda Galás and if you know who is she, you’ll know what I mean.

[ Contradictory and enigmatic woman , versatile composer and artist, whose unique voice has a richness of nuances and registers rarely found in the alternative music world. She has been described by John Gill in “Time out London” magazine with the following words: “bitch, santa, demon, lover, crazy or angel, there is not another voice in rock, jazz, or the musical vanguard with her violence, her searing passion and pure elemental force”.]

AMEN

PD. That she dares to put music to Nietzsche, Antonin Artaud, Gerard Nerval Artaud, Gore Vidal, Baudelaire and Lautréamont writings among others, do we ignore it?

Enjoy, or not.

Good weekend.

Disfrutad, o no.

Buen fin de semana.
