Artist of the week

Loreena McKennitt, the Canadian performer, songwriter and founder of his own record label, Quinlan Road, has more than two decades dedicated to music and more than 14 million albums sold worldwide.

Her Celtic, arab sounds, new age, eastern, native american, indian, italian and turkish fusion, all of them passed by her wonderful blender, make her music a delicious cocktail of mixtures, one of the most original that can be heard.

From my point of view, if you want to travel around the world spending little money, McKennitt is a very good election.

Caravanserai, the above video song, is included on her album, An ancient muse, published in 2006, but also included on the DVD released in the following year, Nights From The Alhambra.

Happy weekend!!
