Artist of the week

Electronic Friday.

We have just had in our country one of the electronic musical festivals for excellence, SONAR.

This year the program had names like the great Caribou, Four Tet, Massive Attack, Trentemøller and who today occupy a small space in this blog also small lost between the immensity of the network, Röyksopp (this year we have not had the luck of having the great Nicolas Jaar).

They are two weirdo guys that have already cemented his place in the history of electronic music getting Platinum awards with some of their albums. They are truly pioneers and their sound is characteristic and quite exceptional.

Talk about them means talking about a band that during 15 years and through 4 Studio albums have experimented with different sounds, reinventing itself in each work and giving us anthems that will last for a long time. Their debut Melody A.M. (2001) had great sales not only in his native Norway but around the world, their singles Poor Leno and Remind Me gave the band rotation on all sides thanks to the melodic voice of Erlend Øye, Kings of convenience component. Is that another of the huge hits of Röyksopp, collaborators, as Karin Dreijer Andersson of The Knife that gives this dark tone to the song, What Else Is There? from the album The Understanding (2005) or as Robyn that prints all his energy to The Girl And The Robot from the album Junior (2009).

I leave you with some themes of this brilliant duo.

Mood and energy for the weekend!

Röyksopp collaborations in videos are with:

 The Knife.
